A woman in a northeast Pennsylvaniaart gallery is staring at an exquisitepainting entitled Home for Lunch. Itdepicts three very naked black mensitting on a park bench with theirpenises in plain view. But while all themen are black, the one in the middlehas a pink penis.

“Excuse me,” the woman says tothe exhibit’s curator. “I am curiousabout this painting of three African-Americans.Why does the man in themiddle have a pink penis?”

“I’m afraid you’ve misinterpretedthe painting,” says the curator. “Thesemen are not African-American; they’recoal miners, and the fellow in the middlewent ‘home for lunch.’”
